The Château’s History
Nestled in the scenic Loire Valley, Château du Coudreceau, now available for exclusive private hire, has welcomed generations of distinguished guests since its construction in 1775 during the reign of Louis XVI, France’s last king.
Established by affluent merchant Francois Seurrat du Colombier for cultivating beekeeping and silkworm, the estate’s heritage remains deeply rooted. Many of the original trees stand tall, bearing witness to a storied past of fortunes, generations, and grand celebrations.
